October 19 – 22, 2017 – Fall Season Opening Event
Bring your buddies, your spouse or your child and join us for the opening of the fall quail hunting season!!
Do you have a spouse or child or friend who is interested in the plantation lifestyle… but has limited shot gun experience?? Well, this is the trip on which to invite them to join you.
We are offering a free shooting lesson and gun-fitting to all attendees… after which you will receive your custom gun fitting dimensions. With your custom gun fitting dimensions you will know whether or not a standard “off the rack” shot gun will reasonably fit you or not… and you will have your custom dimensions from which you can order a custom fit shot gun at any time in the future.
For our entry-level shooters we are offering a shooting clinic complete with one half day of private shooting instruction. That’s right… you don’t have to teach your wife, child or friend to shoot… we will do it for you.
Arrival Day – Thursday
- Check-in at 3:00 PM on day of arrival (transportation not included)
- Preserve hunting license
- Shooting lesson and gun fittings from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM
- Warm-up round of clays at the skeet range or 5 stand
- Cocktails & Dinner
- Lodging
Day 1 – Friday
- Breakfast
- Morning hunt (you will be 1 of 4 hunters) with one mule-drawn wagon, horses, guides, and dogs
- Entry-level shooters will go out on the hunt with family and friends to observe
- Lunch
- Afternoon hunt (you will be 1 of 4 hunters) with one mule-drawn wagon, horses, guides, and dogs
- Entry-level shooters will participate in an afternoon shooting instruction clinic
- Shooting lesson and gun fittings from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Cocktails & Dinner
- Lodging
Day 2 – Saturday
- Breakfast
- Morning hunt (you will be 1 of 4 hunters) with one mule-drawn wagon, horses, guides, and dogs
- Entry-level shooters will enjoy a morning hunt with their shooting instructor
- Lunch
- Afternoon hunt (you will be 1 of 4 hunters) with one mule-drawn wagon, horses, guides, and dogs
- Entry -level shooters will enjoy an afternoon hunt with their shooting instructor
- Shooting lesson and gun fittings from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Cocktails & Dinner

Day 3 – Sunday
- Breakfast
- Morning hunt (you will be 1 of 4 hunters) with one mule-drawn wagon, horses, guides, and dogs
- Entry-level shooters will join their family and friends for the morning hunt
- Lunch / Departure (transportation not included)
- Quail will be dressed and freeze-packaged in soft coolers on the day of your departure
October 26 – 29, 2017 – Pre-Halloween Event
There is no reason to be spooked about this event! This is a great opportunity to open the hunting season just before Halloween and that big harvest moon. There is nothing more beautiful than moonlight through the pine trees in South Georgia!
